The Submission Grinder, milling your submissions into something useful

Description
Note: Translated stories only (from any language)
What we publish

Each quarter, Samovar publishes one short story newly translated into English, and one reprint of a previously published translation. In both cases, the English-language versions will be accompanied by the original-language versions.

What we want

We want good speculative fiction stories! If your story doesn't have a speculative element, or strong speculative-fiction sensibilities, it's probably not for us. We like fiction from or about traditionally under-represented groups, unusual yet readable styles and inventive structures and narratives, and stories that address political issues in complex and nuanced ways, resisting oversimplification.
