The Submission Grinder, milling your submissions into something useful

Love Among the Thorns
Camden Park Press

The solitary mansion hiding dark secrets and a lonely heart. A coastal B&B with grief and love permeating its walls and influencing its guests. In Love Among the Thorns, I’m looking for contemporary romances with the flavor of the classic Gothics of the 70s and 80s – locations and lives shrouded in solitude and secrecy, mired in mist and mystery, and where the spark of true love grows from the smallest candle flickering in the wind into a fierce light that drives back the darkness.

In the true spirit of Gothic romances, stories submitted to Love Among the Thorns must contain an element of danger, dread, or suspense – though while the jeopardy may be real or merely imagined, it must be believable. Supernatural elements are welcome – though magic realism is preferred – but keep in mind this is not a paranormal anthology, so please no vampires, werewolves, shifters, etc.
