Genre-wise, we are looking for anything that fits our chosen vibe of unreality. That includes—but is not limited to—all stripes of speculative fiction. It also includes tales where no magic happens. Stories need to have a fantasy-feel, to transport the reader to some different world. This can include literary, romance, or even nonfiction memoir.
We are particularly looking for:
Romantic fantasy (romantasy) or sci-fi with a strong romantic element. Erotic fantasy, weird and taboo erotica, etc. Don’t worry about being too kinky or too gay. The weirder (and gayer!) the better, as far as we’re concerned. Stories by and about women. Sword-and-sorcery, including laser-swords-and-space-sorcery. Post-apocalyptic stories. Epic, heroic, and high fantasy. Send us your orcs! Cosy or ‘backpack’ fantasy. Trans characters, or stories that have something new and interesting to say about gender. Stories about hope, resilience, resistance, revolution, survival, sensuality, and strange beauty.
