The Submission Grinder is a tool for writers, produced by Diabolical Plots, LLC. Diabolical Plots, LLC is a publishing company, publishing fiction and nonfiction on Diabolical Plots and the Long List Anthology, among others. By accessing or using our websites, you signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”), regardless of whether you are a registered user. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete portions of these Terms of Use at any time and without further notice. It is your responsibility to regularly check this page to determine if there have been changes, and to review such changes. By using the site you agree to use it for its intended purposes and to not try to access data not publicly or displayed or in your personal account. You agree not to enter false submission information which may affect the published statistics. Diabolical Plots, LLC reserves the right to remove any content which, in its sole discretion, is or is deemed to be false, or to disable accounts.

The software is copyright Diabolical Plots, LLC and cannot be copied, altered, or used in any other way without permission. Market listing statistics and search results are the property of Diabolical Plots, LLC, but may be used with full and prominent attribution to The Submission Grinder as the source of the data.

Diabolical Plots, LLC does not take responsibility for anything on any sites we link to. Descriptions posted on market listings pages are references to material published by the publication/publisher named at the top of the listing and are property of the original publisher. Any user may request an update to a listing. The publisher may request a description be removed or the listing downgraded to a stub which contains minimal information. Views expressed in market descriptions are the responsibility of the respective market and are not necessarily the views of Diabolical Plots, LLC. Listings do not imply endorsement. Governing Law, Venue, and Jurisdiction
Diabolical Plots, LLC is a US-based company, and our websites and their content are hosted in the United States. If you live outside the United States, be advised that your personal information may be transferred to the United States and you consent to (a) such transfer, (b) the application of the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, which will govern these Terms of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Diabolical Plots, LLC. Please don’t sue us. Please contact us if something on our websites upsets you or causes you concern. However, if you for some reason decide you do want to sue us, you’ll need to do so in the State of Minnesota in the United States. By using this website, you consent to and waive all defenses of lack of personal jurisdiction and forum non conveniens with respect to venue and jurisdiction in the state and federal courts of Minnesota.
Additional Information
These Terms of Use (which include our Privacy Policy) constitute the whole agreement between you and Diabolical Plots, LLC regarding your use of our websites, and completely replace any prior agreements between you and Diabolical Plots, LLC relating to your use of the websites. To the extent that a translation of these Terms of Use differ from the English language version, the English language version controls. Diabolical Plots, LLC not exerting any right, remedy, or provision of these Terms of Use does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision in that or any other instance. If any provision of these Terms of Use are held invalid, the remainder shall continue to be valid and enforceable in full force and effect. Privacy Policy
Submission Data
The Submission Grinder publishes anonymized submission data from its users--all personally identifying information including author name and title is removed before publication. The only exception to this anonymization is that if a user has turned on the "Woot" feature in their profile which will post their name with acceptance reports. The Submission Grinder may share or sell anonymized submission data at it sole discretion. Any other submission data will not be sold or shared. We don’t make data other than that described above available to third parties unless a law enforcement agency or court of competent jurisdiction tells us we have to.
What We Collect and What We Do With It
Our web server logs your IP address and the page you visited. We use Google Analytics and track traffic patterns and pages visited for gathering information about site usage, for future site development and to share with potential sponsors. We track exceptions on the site, which includes tracking the user ID and the page for diagnostic purposes. Registered users have email addresses in their profile, which they use to log in and to recover their password, to respond to requests, and (on rare occasions) to contact a user if there's a problem with their account or data.' Users may delete their own profile and submission at any time. Users may request account closure through the contact form.
Donors and Patrons
We are in the business of publishing and of providing tools for help writers. We are supported by donations and book sales and sponsorships. We may see your email address with your donation receipt from donation platforms like PayPal and Patreon, but we never see your payment details like credit card or bank account numbers. We may ask if you would like to be thanked on our supporter appreciation page, but we will not do so without your express permission, and will remove it on your request.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to maintain your authentication to the site so you have to log in less often, and for general site tracking with Google Analytics. Disabling cookies may impair the functionality of the site. These cookies collect information such as: IP address, date and time of access, browser and operating system information, what pages you visit, information to combat fraud and misuse.
Sharing Your Information
Diabolical Plots, LLC only shares your information for the following circumstances: as described above, as required by law enforcement agencies, when we deem necessary to investigate breach of security or harassment. If Diabolical Plots or the Submission Grinder becomes involved in a merger or acquisition or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, and we hold any of your personal data, we will provide notice to you (via an update to this policy) of any personal data to be transferred or subject to a different policy.
